People complain about losing something they always had.Ģ) Keep old T7-T9 relics but make them unremovable like all other relics were planned to be. I don't think that's a stretch either.ġ) Delete/force convert T7-T9 relics into shards. The fact that they decided to create the relic removal scroll instead tells me that they don't want them gone, they just want to make money off of us keeping them. If Turbine "wanted them gone," they should have converted them to shards back when they changed the system. Isn't it time to just live with the consequences of the deal we made. We all slotted the relics knowing we were going to have to use a scroll or lose them. Oh, and next time you think about allowing me to shortcut a grind using the store - don't forget, as long as you give me as many free versions of the store item as I could possibly need then we're all good. It seems a bit unfair if everyone who just happens to have kept them gets to keep them longer. Oh, and please can I have the old relics I deconned on my hunter back, because I trashed them rather than knowing I'd have to buy scrolls every time the level cap went up to keep them. Don't worry, it isn't a selfish request because we'll all get one.īy the way, is it just this level cap raise that we are going to get free scrolls or unslots? or every time it goes up? For ever? Sounds cool. After all, how was I to expect that I'd have to decon my LI. I should start a petition because I think the grind to get one will be over the top. I'd quite like a free L75 2nd age LI to replace my current one that I will have to decon. Yes, they want us to spend money, and if you really want the thing you have to pay for, then it might seem money-grabbing, but suggesting that is the only thing they now care about in this game is significantly too far for me. They didn't gate the best instruments in the store, they didn't cut back on the number of deeds in the expansion to make it harder to earn TP, they didn't do a lot of things that they could have. There are devs responsive to issues and suggestions (see Orion recently on mini instrument multi-output recipes). But it isn't a "forced to pay cold hard cash" - its a grind, and not an amazingly tough one compared to some things.ĭo we seriously think they don't care about the attention to quality in the game? That there aren't things that you get given WITHOUT paying? The zones continue to be beautiful, the storylines entrancing, there are new systems being added regularly, and there are things you DO get free (tier 7 crafting etc) that if they wanted to charge separately, its not beyond their means. If you want yours back, its a grind (deeds or starting from scratch). ![]() Yes, they have switched their model, and that REQUIRES them to focus more on finding ways to entice us to part with our cash than just subs.īut we all have a choice, and particularly with relic scrolls. Yes, they are a business, if they stop making money, they stop. Yes, some of those I'd love to drop as I kill the last boss in a new raid, but I'm realistic enough to know that not everything is going to happen the way I want in an old MMO that is still going strong. Big shock there, its there to make money. Yes - they put things that people want in the store. And of course it does degenerate into "Turbine only cares about making money".ĭo people seriously believe that, or is it just a forum/internet cool thing to criticise the people who make the game we are all playing. ![]()
